Syrians Getting Fenced Out Of Bulgaria

Deputy Interior Minister Vasil Marinov said that the ministry has proposed a plan to spend over $3 million to build a 19-mile fence along its southeaster border with Turkey to address the influx of unwelcome refugees.
While illegal immigration may make most Americans think of their own border woes, Bulgaria has also become an reluctant home to foreign migrants. 6,800 illegal immigrants have entered Bulgaria this year—70 percent of them coming from Syria.
Recently, Bulgarians have felt overwhelmed by the thousands of refugees fleeing from Syria to neighboring Turkey before entering Bulgaria, so they are hoping that erecting a physical barrier will help solve their problems.
