Venice Residents Wants Garcetti To Implement A Better Bus System

What are the top issues facing Los Angeles, and why?
“First thing that comes to mind is the bus system; there are not enough. They’re not reliable...Another issue is the crime in Inglewood and Compton. Also, I know the school system is not great, but not really sure why.”
What could Mayor Garcetti do to address your top priorities?
“He could divert funds from the train system to the bus system. The train system is a great idea, but a better bus system would get more use.”
Did you vote in the May election? Who did you support?
“I did, but not for the mayor because I didn't feel that I knew enough about each candidate.”
Can you tell me a little bit more about some of the problems with the bus system?
“I just think if they were done properly it would alleviate a lot of the other issues facing Los Angeles—like pollution and traffic—if people would take them...Also, right now you can’t rely on the bus if you have to get somewhere in a set time frame. I don't know the intricate details about the budget and I don't know if it’s an issue that can be addressed; I just hope it could be looked into.”
