What are the top issues facing Los Angeles?

One of the relevant issues is what [the city is] going to do with the government shutdown. Especially concerning is that status of WIC for women who can’t really support their children; now it is going to be a statewide rather than national program. Another issue facing the city is overpopulation. 

What should Mayor Garcetti do to address your top priorities?

I think that in regard to the government shutdown, Mayor Garcetti should explain how much chaos is going to arise...especially with WIC (WomCollege Student Worries About Overpopulation In L.A. en, Infants, and Children). I really believe that WIC is something he should focus on, especially with single women or men who don’t have financial support for their children.

Did you vote in the May election? Who did you support?

No, I didn't vote.

You seem very knowledgeable about local political issues. Why didn’t you vote last May? Is there something about the voting system you think needs to be changed?

I was unable to make it to the polling station. We need to make sure that we can set voting days and times that can accommodate everyone—Rather than just the average Los Angelino.
