Twin blasts killed five people and injured at least 17 in Quetta on Wednesday morning. Officials reported that the explosives were attached to a motorcycle parked near a local commercial hub at Double Road near Zarghon Road.

This blast comes nearly three weeks after the explosion on Oct. 10 that left six dead and dozens more injured in Quetta, the provincial capital city of the Pakistan's Balochistan province. The News Tribe reported the previous attack occurred at a packed market and explosives were also planted on a bicycle.

Tiananmen Crash Reported To Be Uyghur Terrorist Attack

The positioning of the explosives in today's blast indicate that no particular building or group was targeted, it was meant to cause destruction.

According to Express Tribune, those who were injured in the blast were transported to Bolan Medical Complex and Provincial Sandeman Hospital where state of emergency has been declared. At least three of the 17 who were reported injured are in critical condition.

"The blast was huge and I have seen dozens of people lying in pools of blood on double road," an eyewitness told Express Tribune.

The Nation reported that as of now, no group has come forward to claim responsibility for the explosion.

President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif have condemned the blasts and expressed grief over the loss of innocent lives.
