The California Highway Patrol's pursuit of a reckless driving suspect ended with an arrest on the University of Southern California's University Park Campus.

@LAScanner Tweeted "[email protected] pursuit leads to trail of broken metal & shattered windows along Venice Bl. in Palms & Culver City." and KCAL 9 also reported that the pursuit started in Culver City.

The suspect made his way to the Exposition Park area where the CHP performed a pit maneuver. KCAL 9 reported that a shot was fired at this time, and the suspect escaped the attempted capture. Brittney Hopper, a KCAL 9 reporter on the ground, reported that a Highway Patrol officer in the pursuit said no shots were fired. She did report that the suspect had blood on his shirt.

After getting away, the wanted driver drove through USC's campus before bailing from the vehicle. He then went through the campus on foot with the Highway Patrol in pursuit. The suspect was taken into custody on university property.
