PB&J Sandwiches, Redefined
These four combos put a real spin on the original peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
Try almond butter and guava jelly. Barney Butter makes an oh-so-smooth version from roasted California almonds. Made in a peanut-free facility, it's a great substitute for anyone with peanut allergies. Pair it with guava jelly for a taste of the tropics.
How about chocolate peanut butter with strawberry preserves? Jif recently introduced whipped spreads in both peanut and chocolate peanut flavors that put an end to bread damage from enthusiastic PB spreading.
Rethink the bread. Try cinnamon raisin bread with crunchy peanut butter and sliced bananas. The combination of chewy raisins, dense banana, and peanut crunch is sure to delight. Also, a recent study found peanut butter may reduce the risk of breast cancer. So, ladies, lay it on thick.
Embrace seasonality. Pair pumpkin butter with Speculoos for a sweet treat. The cookie butter adds some spice to what is essentially sugared pumpkin puree. Better yet, warm this sandwich up on a cold morning. It's finally some incentive to pair Speculoos with something other than a spoon.
