Eight days into the Government Shutdown and after President Obama's phone call with House Speak John Boehner today, it doesn't seem like an end is near. Boehner wants to negotiate and Obama refuses to. These last seven days have been an emotional rollercoaster (we imagine) filled with ups and downs, highs and lows, and plain old "I'm over it" moments. But Obama isn't backing down and here's 11 jamming reasons why.

First things first, this is not a one man battle, President Obama has got the Democratic Party standing behind him. And as we can tell, that group is hard to crack.

"Clique" - Kanye West, Jay Z, Big Sean

Despite how long he's willing to stand, there must be points where Obama just wants to be left alone, and that's where Michael steps in.

"Leave Me Alone" - Michael Jackson

Sometimes a quick phrase does the trick.

"Shut up" - Black Eyed Peas

Other times, he just has to let the haters hate.

"Hate On Me" - Jill Scott

Or let them know what the deal is with a little nu metal.

"My Way" - Limp Bizkit

A softer approach is always an option.

"Over It" - Katherine McPhee

But saying it nicely doesn't always work.

"Sweet As Whole" - Sara Bareilles

When all else fails, sometimes zoning out is the only way to cope.

"B*tch Don't Kill My Vibe" - Kendrick Lamar

At those really rough points, he's just got to brush those shoulders off and keep it moving.

"Shake It Out" - Florence & the Machine

Ultimately, especially after today's conversation, it's clear that President Obama is standing his ground.

"Won't Back Down" - Tom Petty

And if that's not understandable, well,  Al Green  always does the trick.

"Got To Give It Up" - Al Green
