The 100th episode of "Modern Family" last night included robots, boars and a "Pameron?" Oh my!

In the centinnial episode, the Dunphy parents start off bummed because they have continuously been losing out on precious errand time in order to watch Luke (Nolan Gould) sit on the bench at his soccer tournaments every Saturday morning. Consequently, Claire (Julie Bowen) convinces Phil (Ty Burrell) to skip one Saturday in order to actually get some work done.

Once Claire and Phil are able to trick Luke into getting on board with their plans, they go about their separate ways running their errands. Phil uses an automatic cleaning gadget to clean out the gutters, while Claire takes the car and goes food shopping. On her shopping trip, after Claire buys everything she could possibly need, she feels inclined to stop by Luke's game out of guilt, only to find that Luke is not only playing, but he's good! This prompts her to stay at the game, while Phil is at home cleaning.

Sadly, Phil's cleaning goes awry when his automated cleaning robot accidentally kills a crow's nest. Phil feels horrible but is still unintentionally reminded of it by every cast member (Cameron's sister says "I'm leaving the nest," and so on with other puns) in a wonderfully comedic fashion.

Meanwhile, Cameron (Eric Stonestreet ) and Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) unsuccessfully attempt to hide their marriage plans from Cameron's sister Pameron, because they don't want her to feel bad for being single. To their surprise, when Pam hears the wedding news, she informs them that she is actually engaged herself, and to none other than Cameron's first crush, Boa!

This revelation makes Cameron emotional, which leads Pam to confess something else: everyone in the family thinks Cameron has become overly sensitive every since he left the farm. Cameron does not receive this news well and forces the Dunphy and the Pritchett families to tell him if he is in fact the fragile sibling. Unfortunately, the odds are not his favor, but Mitchell and Pam let him know that they love him just the way he is. Super sensitive and all.

Another sensitive soul is poor, blind, Gloria (Sofia Vergara). Jay (Ed O'Neil) and Manny (Rico Rodriguez) push Gloria to get glasses because they are worried about her obvious impaired vision. Gloria is in denial about her vision because she doesn't want to accept the flaws that accompany old age.

When Manny and Jay realize that Gloria isn't willing to get glasses, they play a joke on her in which Jay pretends to choke on rat poison while Manny asks Gloria to read the poison warnings off the side of the box as he calls 9-1-1. Gloria is unable to read the instructions, and thats when it becomes clear that Gloria cannot see.

Gloria doesn't go down alone though. In response to Jay pulling a prank on her, Gloria informs the entire family that Jay has hearing issues. This leads everyone to poke fun at Jay's apparent need for a hearing aid during family dinner.

Gloria does eventually apologizes for being cruel, but Jay accepts that it was all in good fun. And just as it is with every episode, by the end, we see that love trumps all in this modern family.
