Without all the glitz and glam, Miley Cryus is just an average girl living her life to the fullest--at least that's what the new documentary "Miley: The Movement" leads people to believe. With recent negative attention surrounding her performance at the VMAs and her new rebellious attitude, "Miley: The Movement," aims to change people’s views on her.

The documentary starts off by showing the success of her hit single, "We Can't Stop." It shows how hard-working Miley is as we take a closer look inside of her life where she is constantly working. Deep down she is a sweet girl that knows what she wants and works her hardest to get it.

In the film, we discover much about her that was previously unknown. She is not reckless, but definitely a smart artist who has a plan for everything, from performances to her upcoming album, "Bangerz."

The title itself, "Miley: The Movement," explains it all. In it, Cyrus describes her "movement" as a growth and change rather than what other artists call a transition. Her goal is to make a movement not by herself, but with all of her fans and those who love her to make a statement in the pop culture.

After her crazy VMA performance, Miley dealt with a lot of criticism from social media as well as from her fans. Others say that Miley was always crazy and fun, but was hiding that side of her from the media because of her previous image as a Disney darling.

In the documentary she says, “Right now, I’m in [a place in] my career where I can be who I want to be. I just want to have fun.”

The documentary features other artists such as Pharrell Williams, Britney Spears, Will.I.Am and more. Pharrell had nothing but good things to say about Miley. The film offers a new perspective on Miley and her goals.

"Miley: The Movement" is a great documentary because it gives you the answers you want and need from the star herself. People will learn that she is very engaging with her fans and has grown a thick skin, having the ability to repel all negative things said about her.

She is, at times, an ambitious control freak. Before doing anything, she said she always asks herself, “What’s going to separate me from everyone else?”

With this thought in mind, she schemes and plans how she will be able to make history in the music industry. With this thought in mind came her VMA performance.

At the end of the day, Miley has seemingly won. She succeeded in achieving her plan to make a movement in the music industry. She has been on every social media network and on every tabloid possible, and is making news all over the world.

"Miley: The Movement" is a film I really enjoyed. I loved Miley from the start, but after watching this, I love and admire her more than ever and I know she is on her way to be one of the greatest in the music industry.

The 90-minute deluxe version of "Miley: The Movement" is scheduled to air on Sunday, Oct. 6 on MTV.
