What are the top issues facing Los Angeles, and why?

Roads. Our roads are terrible. We need to figure out how to fix our potholes. I was riding my motorcycle up the center lanes, and there are a lot of places where the pavement is kind of rounded, so it’s dangerous.

That also leads to traffic. We have serious traffic problems. I think we also have a good amount of homeless people too, so that should be figured out too.

What could Mayor Garcetti do to address your top priorities?

Get more money to figure out traffic flow. We need more lanes, and we need better-quality roads, because of the amount of traffic.

There are so many people coming into this area that I think we need to invest more money towards solving congestion, which would make a huge difference towards relieving the overall problem.

Did you vote in the May election?

I did not.

Do you support Mayor Garcetti?

You know, I’m indifferent to be honest. I’m not on either side.

So what’s the big deal about transportation?

For me personally, I started riding motorcycles a year and half ago because of these problems. Since I’ve become a motorcyclist, a lot of these traffic problems went away. Now I can choose to ride between lanes, with the exception of potholes which are very dangerous.

Parking is another thing. It’s a big issue. The signs in the parking area aren’t very clear; there are at times four different signs that say you can park here on this day between these hours. It’s just very hard to understand a lot of times. Becoming a motorcyclist totally eliminated all my problems with parking.
