After SXSW, some quality tour time across the states with City & Colour, and a "performance day trip" in the UK, Lucy Rose made her way back to Los Angeles Thursday night for a show at the Bootleg Theatre. After a brief interview with the up and coming British artist, it was clear that where she was performing wasn't the only thing that had changed. Rose hasn't lost an ounce of charm, humility or fervency to perform; and the camaraderie between her and her band mates is as electrifying as ever. But she has gained quite a lot.

Perhaps it's because her debut album Like I Used To was finally released in the states on September 17th. Or maybe it's because of the overwhelming responses she received while opening for City & Colour.

Since her show seven months ago at the Hotel Cafe ago, Lucy Rose is evidently more confident. She's more talkative on stage, eager to play new songs for audiences, and proud to be a singer/songwriter who's not intimated to pick up a new instrument, or write the lyrics (rather than the melody) first.
