Good news: we have now reached the two day mark until the Barney/Robin wedding! Only a handful of episodes to go before we get to the day before! So what happened this week?

Marshall and Daphne have left Wisconsin and are now in Chicago, so Marshall suggests going to Gazola's. For those of you who have been watching since the beginning, Gazola's is a pizza place that Ted and Marshall would take road trips to go to. Those trips defined a lot about what their friendship is today, and more importantly for Marshall, the pizza is amazing. He paints a beautiful personified portrait of the experience eating the pizza, but Daphne isn't convinced to make a stop there. She just wants to get to New York.

The poker game from the last episode continues, and one by one the players fold. Ted talks about the wedding presents he got for the future newlyweds, and Lily is fuming over this. Why? Because Ted, one of her best friends, never got her and Marshall a wedding gift. We see different scenarios where Marshall tries to drop hints at that fact, and Ted doesn't get it. Marshall goes so far as to dressing up like a wedding present for Halloween, leaving Lily alone in her duo costume as the main couple from "Juno" (Marshall was set to be Juno, obviously).

Robin is getting fed up with James, Barney's brother, and his comments against marriage. She gives Barney the choice of either taking his side or his fiancé's side. Going back to the game, Robin adds her engagement ring into the pile of possible prizes and as does James. He loses miserably, and Robin now has his ring under her possession.

James is so upset that he does something awful: he tells his mom about what Robin did, igniting the battle between mother-in-law and wife-to-be. Barney is now torn over the conflict arising between his mom and Robin, so he seeks advice from Lily and Ted. Lily immediately suggests listening and being on Robin's side since they are getting married and becoming a team.

It turns out that Ted is not a horrible best friend and he got Marshall and Lily a coffee maker! However, he's bummed that he never got a thank you note, suggesting his disappointment the same way his friend did: through costumes. He dresses up as a thank-you note and Marshall misses the whole point, too! When will they learn? Lily remembers that Stuart and Claudia were actually the ones to give them the coffee maker, and that they got the thank-you note.

In poker, Robin is totally winning the game, leaving Barney's mom nearly naked and with only a sliver of her dignity left. Robin attributes her excellent game to a tell all of the Stinsons have with saying the word "bluff" whenever they have a good set of cards. She tells Barney that she never feels like they are on the same side, and she would like to have that around. She then gives Barney the clothes and the ring back.

There's a new liar in the game and his name is Stuart. The guy lied about the coffee maker, going with it when the opportunity presented itself. He begs Lily not to tell Claudia about this truth nugget since the coffee maker saved their marriage. Before he goes back into his room, Lily promises not to tell Claudia the truth. Then Stuart simply says that the woman taking a shower is not Claudia. Could it be that this weasel is cheating?!

The coffee maker was Ted's after all, but his gifts don't stop there. He finds a way to get pizza delivered to Marshall even though they are not stopping for food. He is ecstatic, and Ted tells his kids that the thank-you note for that pizza did get to him…four months later.

Barney goes back to Robin and says that he is on her side with the whole James issue. Robin is glad, but her joy comes crashing down when Barney continues and says that he told his mom and brother off, proclaiming that Robin told him to do that. Now she dreads leaving the room. The final scene shows Loretta, Barney's mom, rejecting the sweater Robin tries to return to her. She says it's a consolation prize because Robin may have "won the battle" but she will "win the war."

Next week's episode titled "Knight Vision" will focus on Ted choosing his date for the wedding. Check out a clip from this week's episode below, and tune in for the sixth episode Monday at 8PM on CBS.
