Let's face it: trick-or-treating is a one-trick pony that, after one's first few years (hopefully), becomes a mundane and monotonous fallback to which everyone bashfully succumbs. This year, make some real plans that don't rival a toddler's Halloween.

Neon Tommy has painstakingly researched all your options and mapped out the top 32 Halloween-themed activities in the greater Los Angeles area. If you're anywhere from Thousand Oaks to Huntington Beach, check out the possibilities. They range from family-friendly pumpkin races to as far as ... bondage fetish parties?! That's right. Click here if this peaked your interest and you wish to get straight to the good stuff.

NOTE: If the map does not work for you, you will need to delete your cookies. It's easy. Here's how to do it on Google ChromeSafari. Internet Explorer. Firefox. Android. Iphone.

That should work. If it does not, clear your cache. Also very easy. Here's how on Google Chrome. SafariInternet Explorer. Firefox. AndroidIphone

We've got you taken care of -- it doesn't matter if you're into ghosts, gore, or costume parties. All the details are in front of you, just decide what date, price, and location fits your party group best. Note that some activities specify recommended or required ages.

These events will --- for the love of all things Halloween --- get you and your friends up'n'at'em this October. From all of us at Neon Tommy, we wish you a spooktacular start to your holiday season...doing anything BUT conning your neighbors out of candy and passing out next to a tub of empty Reese's wrappers. Be an adult. Do something.
