You'll buy a costume anyway, so why not rock it in the good company of partiers who've seen it all - EDM fans?

Halloween season's the perfect month to explore what's out there in the world of dance music and some of the most coveted events in the nation are just a quick trip way from campus.

Trojans everywhere are familiar with the hugely popular HARD Day of the Dead - a dance music festival that's taken place in downtown L.A. for years now. This year's HARD fest is set for the weekend of Saturday, November 2 through Sunday, November 3.

In the meantime, learn more about four EDM events throughout the month that'll help make your scare month something to rave about.

1. Dada Land Compound - Friday, October 25

Cornerstone EDM promoter My Life Every Day (LED) has proven a knack for creating hardly believable event lineups for quite some time. San Diego's gargantuan Valley View Casino Center is the company's choice backdrop for some of the largest-scale events on the SoCal EDM radar.

On Friday, October 25 the sports arena will transform into the Dada Land Compound - a haven for those ready and willing to rev up their Halloween weekend in the filthiest way possible. Electro house bone-crushers Dada Life ("Kick Out the Epic Motherf----r") will headline an event that also guarantees wild appearances from A-Trak, Clockwork and a whole lot of synthesized potassium (banana suits are common fare for Dada Life showcases).

LOCATION: 3500 Sports Arena Blvd., San Diego, CA 92110

2. HAUNT featuring Hixxy - Saturday, October 19

This Saturday, UK hard dance legend Hixxy touches down right in our neck of the woods for a Halloween event entitled "HAUNT." A ten-dollar Lyft from campus will allow ravers to experience a rarity among dance music calendars. The event highlights happy hardcore - a bouncy, bass-heavy and dreadfully underrated EDM genre that seems pulled straight from a Japanese anime soundtrack.

LOCATION: 333 S. Boylston St., Los Angeles, California 90017

3. Escape From Wonderland - Saturday, October 26

Insomniac's Escape From Wonderland continues to reign supreme as a prime Halloween destination for EDM-heads, as evidenced by yet another impressive lineup. Expect impeccable production value, six spooky stages and superstar talent including Hardwell, Cedric Gervais, Steve Angello and W&W.

LOCATION: San Manuel Amphitheater & Grounds, 2575 Glen Helen Pkwy, San Bernardino CA 92407

4. Rob Zombie's Great American Nightmare ft. Zomboy, Doctor P, Excision, Destroid

If your idea of a bump in the night is a good ole fashioned dubstep rager, scare specialist Rob Zombie's got a unique event for you. Take just a zip down the highway to Pomona's Fairplex through November 2nd and you'll arrive at Great American Nightmare. The Halloween attraction features three top-grade haunted houses as well as a different live act each night of operation. On Friday, October 25 and Friday, November 1st bass music celebrities Doctor P, Zomboy, Excision and Destroid will be present for the freaky festivities.

LOCATION: 1101 W. McKinley Ave., Pomona, CA 91768
