Four dead bodies were removed from a collapsed hangar on Tuesday after a plane crash at Santa Monica Airport, according to the L.A. County Coroner's office.

The Cessna Citation veered off a runway after landing Sunday and crashed into a storage hangar. The metal hangar then collapsed around the burning wreckage of the plane.

Responding fire fighters described the crash as "unsurvivable."

According to an investigator with the National Transportation Safety Board, there was no communication to indicate mechanical failure.

Two victims have been identified, and their identities were released in a statement from Morely Builders on Monday. Morely CEO Mark Benjamin and his son Luke Benjamin were killed aboard the plane.

The Assistant Chief of the Los Angeles Coroner's office says that the organization has begun it's investigation but it might be forced to suspend operations due to the federal government shutdown.

The cause of the crash and the identities of the other two victims is still unknown.
