Ex-San Diego mayor Bob Filner pleads guilty (Huffington Post).
Former San Diego mayor Bob Filner pleaded guilty on Tuesday to three counts of felony false imprisonment and two counts of misdemeanor battery involving three women.

Sentencing is set for December 9th in San Diego Superior Court. Filner could have been sentenced to three years in prison for the felony false imprisonment charge, but under the agreement, Filner will serve probation for three years and home confinement for three months.

Filner, 71, resigned in late August after at least 17 women brought sexual harassment allegations against the former congressman. Filner has insisted that he never sexually harassed anyone, and has long maintained that he was the victim of a lynch mob and would be vindicated by due process.
