Fall 2013 Television Fashion Icons
The women of fall television have it rough. They have to juggle relationships, careers, friendships, school and even secret identities. Despite all of the insane drama going on in their lives each week, these fierce (and sometimes funny) females of television never miss a beat when it comes to looking fantastic. Here are the fall fashion icons whose closets we're just dying to raid.

Olivia Pope, "Scandal" She is a powerhouse, fixing everyone's problems without breaking a sweat, but it is her fashion that is the real heavy-hitter. From her signature gold Movado watch to her fitted trench coats cinched at the waist and tailored pantsuits, Olivia wrecks the fashion game in Washington D.C. The cream Salvatore Ferragamo cashmere and wool coat she wore in season two is absolute perfection. Pope favors neutral colors and signature pieces that are both business-like and feminine. She loves classic designers, like Ralph Lauren and Michael Kors, and also knows how to dress for an event. At Fitz's doomed birthday celebration, she stole the show in an awe-inspiring Jean Fares gold silk, chiffon gown. See more of her amazing fashion moments Thursday at 10 p.m. on ABC. |
Emily Thorne, "Revenge" It may seem like getting vengeance on the people who ruined your family is a time-consuming task, but Thorne manages to pull it off and still look like an immaculate socialite. She always looks impeccably put together with nary a wrinkle or hair out of place. Thorne opts for more sophisticated, conservative styles with slim, form-fitting silhouettes to blend in with her posh (and often hostile) Hamptons’ environment. Her wardrobe includes prominent designers, such as Armani, Prada, and Fendi. Some notable looks include the white BCBG Max Azria halter dress she wore to the masquerade ball in season two and the beautiful, red and gold embroidered Carolina Herrera gown featured in the season three premiere episode. Catch her heating up the Hamptons in more statement looks Sunday at 9 p.m. on ABC.

Jessica Day, “New Girl” The wonderfully quirky Jess Day steals our hearts every week and we want to steal her wardrobe. Day loves fun, womanly pieces that complement her curves and vivacious personality. She successfully mixes vibrant hues and bold prints to create adorably unique outfits. Color is everything to Day, especially red, red and more red! She is an expert on the LRD (little red dress). Her signature look is short, flirty dresses or flared skirts paired with vivid ballet flats, which she pulls off effortlessly. Enjoy more of Day’s distinctive style sense Tuesday at 9 p.m. on Fox.

Carrie Bradshaw, “The Carrie Diaries” For six seasons of “Sex and the City”, Carrie Bradshaw wowed us with her exceptional fashion prowess. She is the epitome of a fashion icon. Now, her younger self is continuing the legacy in the spinoff. The teenage Bradshaw has the same style awareness that we have come to love from the beloved character. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that she is dressed by fashion genius, Eric Daman, who styled the looks of Blair Waldorf and Serena van der Woodsen on “Gossip Girl.” The show is set in the 80’s and her outfits often take a modern spin on the era’s trends. Like the classic Bradshaw, she loves mixing vintage pieces with high-fashion designs. She makes her statement with bright colors, a signature handbag splattered with nail polish, and, of course, Manolo Blahniks. Watch mini Carrie in all her fabulous, fashionable glory in the season premiere Friday, Oct. 25 at 8 p.m. on The CW.

Aria Montgomery, “Pretty Little Liars” All four characters on the popular show have become fashion icons, but Montgomery shines because of her unique style. Sometimes urban and sometimes bohemian, we never quite know what she is going to wear next. She loves expressing herself in a variety of ways and knows how to think outside of the box. Montgomery doesn’t follow the trends… she sets them. Leather jackets, frilly skirts and motorcycle boots, she has the ability to seamlessly balance edgy and feminine designs. Montgomery also embraces her dark side; you’ll rarely see her in anything bright and enjoys combining different textures, fabrics, colors and patterns. She isn’t afraid to shake things up with her attire and keep it fresh. See more of her chic styles on the “Pretty Little Liars” Halloween special, Oct. 22 at 8 p.m. on ABC Family.

Rachel Berry, “Glee” The songbird’s style can be described in one word: preppy. Berry adores knee-high socks, argyle sweaters, polka dots and stripes. Colored cardigans, animal sweaters and pleated skirts rule her world – she never wears pants. She intensifies the cute factor with sweet accessories like bows and headbands. Over the five seasons, Berry’s style has taken a sexier spin. Now, that she is dominating the Big Apple, her outfits have a sassier, more grown-up feel. The hemlines are higher and the sweaters are tighter. A new Berry is emerging and you can catch her ongoing style evolution Thursday at 9 p.m. on Fox.

Juliette Barnes, “Nashville” Barnes is a Nashville diva and she knows the formula for a statement-making ensemble. On stage, she shimmers in sparkly, skintight dresses and off the stage she keeps it real in country staples, like plaid button-downs and cowboy boots. She stands out by adding unexpected twists to her outfits, like swapping out the traditional cowboy hat for a stylish fedora. Barnes doesn’t play around with her career or her fashion. She is in complete control and maintains her sexy image whether she’s rocking jeans and a leather jacket or a glamorous gown. Watch the country songstress Wednesday at 10 p.m. on ABC.
