With Halloween quickly approaching, shelves and shelves of candy are appearing in stores everywhere. How do you know which ones to give out this year? Look out for these key names, and you may just have tick-or-treaters coming back for seconds!

1. Reese's Peanut Butter Cups

It's a widely known fact that few things taste better together than chocolate and peanut butter. Paired together in a nice bite-sized cup, it's no wonder that these delicious treats top the list of America's favorite candies. If you want to get creative this year, Reese's has also begun selling Reese's Pieces, small pieces of candy coated peanut butter. Buy fun sized Reese's Peanut Butter Cups to give out, or buy this 1 lb pair of cups to enjoy yourself!

2. M&Ms

M&Ms are undoubtedly amongst the most fun candies out there. Who hasn't seen a video of astronauts eating a bunch of M&Ms floating in mid-air and thought it was the coolest thing ever? These candy coated chocolate pieces come in the classic milk chocolate flavor, as well as dark chocolate, dark mint, and peanut butter. They also have chocolate covered pretzel, peanut, and almond flavors for the more adventurous. The best part? M&Ms can be customized here, to say anything you want. Perfect for Halloween or any other occasion!

3. Snickers

Snickers are a perfect balance of chocolate, caramel, and peanuts-three ingredients which combine to create a unique candy that is now considered a classic amongst Americans. Since they have peanuts, most people are able to convince themselves that they are healthier than traditional chocolate, and can eat them with a little less guilt. Snickers recently introduced a product called Snickers Bites, which are bite-sized unwrapped Snickers bars all in one package. Though individually wrapped fun-sized Snickers bars are traditionally given out on Halloween, feel free to pick up a package of Snickers Bites to enjoy yourself!

4. Hershey's

Who can go wrong with a classic Hershey's candy bar? Though they've been around for over a century now, the candy bar has managed to stay popular despite having many competitors. Though Hershey's has come up with several variations, such as dark chocolate and almond, one of the most innovative has been the Cookies'n'Cream flavor. With Oreo cookie pieces covered in white chocolate, it's a must try if you haven't already.
