Halloween In LA: Haunted Houses And Mazes

With Halloween just three weeks away, many are in the process of finding ways to celebrate this spooky holiday. For those who live for the thrill, want to get a good scare, or are on a budget there are some terrifying haunted houses and mazes happening in the Los Angeles and surrounding area. Here are some Haunted Houses and Mazes to check out this Halloween.

The Haunted Diary presents the Dark Carnival Haunted House: Located near Hollywood, this maze is unique in that it takes guests on an interactive adventure, based on a terrifying tale from the Haunted Diary. Admission is free, but donations are accepted. This event is not recommended for children under the age of 12. 

Old Town Haunt is located in Old Town Pasadena and takes guest on an adventure through the basement of the historic Union Savings Bank Building where mysterious occurrences have taken place in the building's deadly history. Ticket prices vary depending on which day you go, but all general admission tickets are under $20. This haunted tour is not reccomended for kids 12 and under.      

Eternal Rest Cemetery is a haunted graveyard in Venice unleashes an onslaught of horrors to those who dare to visit the recently departed. This event is free and is not recommended for children under the age of 14, due do the intensity of it. 

Reign of Terror Haunted House is located in Thousand Oaks and contains five different haunted houses that guest can visit. Featuring a traditional haunted house that will keep guests on the edge of anticipation, an asylum staffed with mad scientist, nurse, and a variety of other highly qualified lunatics, a blood manor filled with nothing but gruesome sights, a miner's revenge with a tour through a dilapitaded mining town, and a quarantined post war laboratory. General admission tickets for this event are $15 and for those who want something a little more family friendly a "lights on" event is also provided on selected dates.       

Forest of Mirrors is a free haunted maze that has been featured on HGTV and KNBC for its blend of magic and landscaping to create a spooky illusion experience. This maze is located in Woodland Hills and welcomes individuals of all ages. 

The Haunted Shack is located in the residential neighborhood of Torrence, CA. Admission is free, but donations are accepted. While the actual haunt is a maze that lasts about 4 minutes the frightful memories will last a lifetime.  

Insane House of Pain is located in Mar Vista and is a family run free haunt. This is a one night only haunted house event with a zombie apocalypse theme.
