7 Trends That Need To Die
Here are 7 trends that need to be banished:
1. Feathers
There are so many ways people fail at trying to utilize feathers-- in their hair, as a design on a shirt, for earrings, tattoos, etc. Since when did feathers from an animal become fashionable? Unless you are going to the Enchanted Tiki Room at Disneyland, please do not choose to wear feathers in any type of way.
2. Fedoras
Who gave these hats permission to exist? This style is not only Kevin Federline circa 2003, but it also shows that whoever is wearing it is clearly behind the trends. Never try to rock a fedora. It will never work. Ever.
This trend was cute. Let’s re-phrase that. This trend was cute years ago. The awkward cut of skirts, tops, and dresses overflows clothing stores to the point where every third (rough estimate) skirt you pick up is a high low. This trend frames women in a most unflattering matter.
4. Neon
While quite appropriate for Halloween and themed parties, neon is a trend that should not be worn in everyday life. Let’s just play it safe and say it is never okay.
5. Ombré
If you’re trying to ombré your hair, get in line with all the other 13-year-old girls. This trend was dead before it even started. Two different colors of hair--whoever thought that was a good idea? Ladies, just because you've seen it on Tumblr does not give you permission to change your look for it.
6. Sneaker Wedges
Just because all of the hip-hop queens are wearing them, does not mean that you have to. Not only are these shoes off the tackiness scale, but they reinforce that you can wear sneakers in everyday life. The only time sneakers should be worn is if you are going to the gym (or wearing gym clothes to class to give off the appearance that you go to the gym).
7. Bows
This trend is adorable-- until you reach your teens. Unless you are a high school cheerleader, don’t wear a bow in your hair. You will look 12.
