Ombre is the current trend that is sweeping the nation. With celebrities like Demi Lovato rocking colorful, ombre hair, and bold ombres gracing numerous fashion week dresses this fall, every fashion-forward female should be up-to-date on this stylish fad.

In the great state of California, this trend is not only prevalent, but it is inspired by the brightness of the people and the places that can only be found here in the sunshine state.

Here are 7 styles that flawlessly resemble the Santa Monica sunset:

1. The Sunset Starter is the beginning of the sunset, when the sun is the brightest thing on the horizon, but there's still a nice yellow tone to the sky.

This ombre is best depicted through hair by having blonde hair followed by an even brighter blonde tone on the ends.

2. The Pink Sunset is the hazy sunset that cloaks all of Pacific Park in a pink glow on rare evenings.

This style can be achieved via nail art. Shading nails from a pale pink to a bright vibrant pink creates a beautiful ombre pattern.

3. This same ombre pattern is also easily mimicked with hair. Demi Lovato wore baby pink coloring on the end of bright blond hair.

4. The Blue Sunset is the middle of the sunset when the sky is still a perfect light blue and the sun protrudes in a bright yellow line.

This translates to ombre beautifully with hair, nails, and clothing.

This ombre can be achieved through nails with a pale blue or white fading into a deep blue. This style resembles the brightness of the sun surrounded by the infinite blue ocean and sky on the Santa Monica Pier.

5. The same blue ombre pattern can be replicated in everything from dresses to shorts. This particular style looks great on every article of clothing.

6. Needless to say, this style also looks fabulous on hair. With hair, it is much easier to mimic the sunset look because hair can take on a more yellowish, sun kissed tone.

One can rock this ombre by fading blonde hair into a light shade of blue. It creates a very gentle beach-bum look.

7. The Last Sunset is more of a backwards ombre with bright roots, and a dark ombre to mimic the way the sun is the brightest part of the sky just as the sunset ends.

In this style, one's hair fades from a light color into a darker shade of the same color. Beyonce is one of the few celebrities who rocks this style often and impeccably with her hair.
