Hollywood A-list actors may be the names that pop into your mind when talking about movie stars and celebrities, but these 5 actors are also of international origin. 

Bruce Lee

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Bruce Lee is one of the most influential martial artist and actor. His works in "Fist of Fury" (1972), "Way of the Dragon" (1972) and "The Game of Death" (1973) reinvented the way Asians are portrayed in films in America. He died at a young age of 32 at the peak of his career and is remembered by many as an iconic figure of Kung Fu in America. This lead to a large international cult following of the legend in black and yellow jumpsuit. Here are some of his best moments:

Jackie Chan

Similar to Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan is born and raised in Hong Kong who is best known for performing all martial arts stunts in his movies. He holds the Guinness World Record for 'Most Stunts by a Living Actor.' He is most famous in his series of action comedic films like the Rush Hour series with Chris Tucker and "Shanghai Noon" (2000) with Owen Wilson. Chan is one of the stars in Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Although she has appeared in may Hollywood films in recent years, Marion Contillard is originally a French actress staring in films such as "Taxi" (1998), "Love Me If You Dare" (2003) and "A Very Long Engagement" (2004) until she gained worldwide fame by winning the Oscars best Actress for her role in "La Vie en Rose" (2007). Since then she has been appearing on the screen of Hollywood blockbusters like "Inception" (2010) and "The Dark Knight Rises" (2012). 

 

Zhang Ziyi

One of the most recognized female martial artist and action star is Zhang Ziyi, an actress from China who achieved fame being in "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon" (2000). She is known as one of the top four actresses ('Four Dan Actresses') in China. Notable films she has starred in are "Rush Hour 2" (2001), "Memoirs of a Geisha" (2005) and "The Grandmaster" (2013). She was nominated for a BAFTA and Golden Globes Award for Best Actress in "Memoirs of a Geisha." 

Chow Yun-fat

Also having starred in "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon", Chow Yun-fat is one of the most world renowned film stars of all time born and raised in Hong Kong. He has starred in many Chinese films such as "A Better Tomorrow" (1986) and "The Killer" (1989). You may have also recognized him from "Anna and the King" (1999) and "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" (2007) as Sao Feng. He was named by Los Angeles Times as "the coolest actor in the world."
