The alleged murderer in the case of 'Baby Hope,' as police came to call her throughout the years of investigation, was arrested on Saturday. Anjelica Castillo, or 'Baby Hope,' was murdered in 1991 at the age of 4. According to USA Today, Castillo was given the nickname by police detectives who felt that hope was all they were left with in trying to crack this case.

The alleged assailant, Conrado Juarez, was a relative of Castillo. He was arrested in Greenwich Village where he worked and has confessed to this crime that took place over 20 years ago. While officials and family members of 'Baby Hope' can rest assured that justice will be served in this case, here is a list of five other cases that have remained icy for years.

1) The boy in the box

The case of the body of the mysterious little boy, discovered inside a cardboard box has left Philadelphia officials baffled. The case has remained cold for over 50 years.

2) Amber Hagerman

The abduction and murder of this nine-year-old girl lead to the implementation of our current Amber alert system. While several children have been saved as a result of this system, Hagerman's killer was never brought to justice.

3) Betsy Aardsma

While studying in the solitude of her campus library, Betsy Aardsma was stabbed to death. Her mysterious death has left college students around the United States questioning whether those long hours of lonesome studying are actually worth it.

4) JonBenet Ramsey

The murder of this six-year-old beauty queen not only brought questions of her death but also concerns over her lifestyle as a child beauty queen. Perhaps, this cold case could even be credited with paving the road towards America's favorite guilty pleasure, Toddlers & Tiaras

5) Tupac Shakur, Biggie Smalls

The war that waged through the hip-hop world and ultimately lead to the death of two of its kings has taunted the world for years. There are many theories surrounding the deaths of Tupac and Biggie, however none of these have been confirmed; but the effects of the life and death of these two music icons will always be remembered.
