Name: Fred Haseney

Neighborhood: Homeless (lives in transitional homes in Los Angeles)

Age: 57

Job: Unemployed

What do you think are the top issues facing Los Angeles today, and why?

"The general assembly, including California, deciding that it's Congress doing all kinds of nifty things to make a barricade on us...illegal immigrants."

What do you think Mayor Garcetti should do about this?

"Well he's a new mayor...he could probably do a lot more than the last mayor that we had, who was just a pretty face (referring to former Los Angeles mayor, Antonio Villaraigosa‎) who didn't do any work if you read the LA Weekly. But uh, the mayor...he should just say 'no.' Somebody should just stand up from the top and say 'no' to anyone who says 'yes' to illegal immigration and anything they want including the drivers' licenses they now have for illegals. And now, you're gonna’ make it easy for the cops to turn their heads and not impound vehicles for people who are caught driving without a license or without insurance, hello. It doesn't make my life or your life any easier."

Would you say that most people in Los Angeles would agree with you?

"Um, I don't think so because sometimes I wonder if I live on the same planet as everyone else...really though. When you listen to things, and you hear how much people love the "illegal alien" and don't seem to give a rat's butt about the American...I wonder what country I'm in."

Are there any other issues facing Los Angeles that are important to you?

"Nope."

That was the main one? Happy with everything else?

"Sure (laughs). Been living here since 1977."

Did you vote in the past Los Angeles mayoral election?

"Nope, nope."

Was there a reason for that?

"Sometimes I vote, sometimes I don't."
