With this past Saturday marking the last official day of summer, we reminisce on lazy days at the beach and driving top down while blasting the radio.

From Miley Cyrus to Dan Croll, these upbeat sing-a-longs charged us up for day and night fun. It may be time to swap those denim cutoffs and sandals for sweaters and boots, but these anthems will forever remind us of summer 2013. Here's Neon Tommy's summer nostalgia playlist:

"We Can't Stop" by Miley Cyrus

If we had to choose a song of the summer, it could easily be Miley Cyrus' catchy, irreverent "We Can't Stop." Not only was the tune perfect for singing in the car or at the club on long days, Cyrus' raunchy music video and infamous VMA performance perfectly epitomizes the type of crazy fun that only summer can bring.

"Cruise" by Florida George Line featuring Nelly

A true summer isn't complete without country music. Although the song was originally released in August 2012, with the help of rapper Nelly and voice synthesizing, the remix shot up the charts this summer. Spending 22 straight weeks on the No. 1 spot on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart, "Cruise" broke all-time records and dominated radio airplay. It's hard not to think back to those summer road trips with lyrics like "Baby you a song/You make me wanna roll my windows down and cruise."

"Diane Young" by Vampire Weekend

The preppy New York City band made their come back this summer with the release of their third album, "Modern Vampires of the City." "Diane Young" dabbles with a retro sound and vocal distortion, creating the perfect upbeat dance tune. The song was a music festival favorite this summer as the group toured from Outside Lands to Lollapalooza.

"Compliment Your Soul" by Dan Croll

British 23-year-old Dan Croll quietly turned heads in the music world this year and his beachy single "Compliment Your Soul" had the perfect upbeat surf vibe. A multi-instrumentalist, Croll plays the xylophone and horn on the track, creating an exotic summer hit.

"Get Lucky" by Daft Punk

French duo Daft Punk and rapper Pharrell easily made their mark this summer with the mischievous single "Get Lucky." The catchy chorus of "We're up all night to the sun…We're up all night to get lucky" was played on dance floors around the world this summer. Not only does the this song make us nostalgic for dusk to dawn beach days, but it also throws it back to another decade.
