Ten adults and three children were the victims of a shooting in a South Side park in Chicago last night, according to the Chicago Tribune. City representatives are calling the attack "gang-related". The shooting occurred in the park's basketball court at approximately 10:15pm.

Among the people shot, was three year old boy, Deonta, who was shot in the head, with the bullet leaving his mouth, and was the most critically injured of the thirteen victims. The weapon used in the shooting was a high-powered rifle. Deonta's relatives said that his uncle was shot and killed in the Labor Day shootings.

A cousin of Deonta said that, "He didn't like haircuts because he has a big head. But he is extremely smart. He didn't have that [head] for nothing." Witnesses have described about ten ambulances carrying the victims out on stretchers. Fortunately, there were no deaths in the shooting.
