Flowing seamlessly between catchy dance-rock grooves, post-modern, synth-pop, and indie rock, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin's sixth album, "Fly By Wire" has it all: dreamy-fuzz guitar riffs, handclapping hooks, subtle, edgy lyrics, and more.

It's upbeat, nouveau, and complex -- a genre-bending album, blended to a crisp, catchy perfection.

It's a nostalgic nod to influential greats like Weezer, The Shins, and Belle & Sebastian, with a futuristic twist, embracing sounds of other musical contemporaries like Cut Copy and Foster The People.

"Harrison Ford" is an intriguingly, dreamy opener, emanating synth-pop, starry guitar work, and excellent harmonies. "Young Presidents" continues in the dreamy syth-pop vain, chock full of catchy handclaps and hooks, breaks, and bridges. This is a perfect, blare-it-on-the-radio-driving-down-the-freeway kind of a song.

"Cover All Sides" is a throwback to The Beatles' "White Album," swaying into an almost-country-rock, slow indie-anthem, with a walking piano melody, background lap steel riffs, and guitar chops. "Lucky Young" is a post-modern, 80's dream-pop revival; with catchy hooks a few doo-wops, and a driving bass-line.

The verse, chorus, and various bridges within this song pique the interested listeners ears, keeping one wanting more, and ending with that feeling of, "Aw man, it's over... I could listen to that one again." The verses flow right into the chorus, wonderfully different each time.

"Ms. Dot" starts with a catchy hip-hop/rock beat and layers in with a misty, mellow acoustic guitar-peggio, then wholesome, soothing vocals. It calls to mind memories of a chill summer afternoon lounging on a porch swing, enjoying a pleasant, tranquil breeze.

"Loretta" is an up-stroking, two-step, happy-go-lucky beauty of a song.  It's "Bungalow Bill" by The Beatles meets a "Take You Out" by The Strokes.

"Unearth" is one addictively catchy song. A straight 4/4 driving melodic indie rock beat with ethereal vocals, perfectly strung guitar hooks, and hand-clapping bridge madness.... this song is a keeper.

With colorful word flow and playful alliteration, "Bright Leaves" is a modern, mellow, and loving piece of poetry surrounded by an earthy, melodic, Beatles-esque, arpeggio, full of warmth and light.

"Nightwater Girlfriend" is SSLYBY's new single, and oh what a single it is. A foot-stomping, up-beat, generation-defining anthem, this song has that magic "it" most songs strive to attain.

The title track, and final song of the album, characterizes the overall tone the band seeks to convey through their latest opus. It's a warm, mellow indie vibe, with refreshing rock beat, melodic guitar-peggios, and driving bass and organ lines.

"Fly By Wire" maintains an indie rock vibe with the right amount pop sensibility.

SSLYBS's "Fly By Wire" captures a sound that spans the ages of modern rock n roll, with a wholly new twist. An indie anthem dream pop masterpiece, SSLYBY's newest album represents an evolution in the band's creative maturity.
