President Obama attended a memorial service for the 12 victims of the Navy yard shooting that shook the nation last Monday.

In his 20-minute long speech to the service members and their families, Obama promised action to revisit issues on gun control, reflecting upon the series of mass shootings that have occurred during his presidency.

Mass shooting incidents have become too familiar for Obama, who has witnessed attacks throughout the nation during his presidency-- ranging from one that occured in Sandy Hook Elementary School to another that took place in a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado.
