Every Monday through Friday, we run down the day's must-know entertainment stories. Today's shortlist:

Jeff Daniels just won an Emmy for his work on HBO's "The Newsroom," but his next gig is decidedly less... cerebral. The first image from his and Jim Carrey's "Dumb & Dumber 2" is out. (Vulture)

IF you've never tuned into Scott Aukerman's comedy sketch show "Comedy Bang! Bang!," you're missing out on such amazing things as Amy Poehler rapping about butter.

Ziva might be leaving the original "NCIS," but no fear, the franchise carries on, this time in a spinoff centered in New Orleans. (Variety)

Jon Hamm has a distinct (distinctly sexy...) voice, but his gravelly Don Draper growl was in danger due to a large polyp in his throat, so he's going under the knife to get that taken care of. Best wishes to you, Hamm. (People)

Writing/life buddies Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg just sold Sony off on a film they've put together called "Sausage Party" because of course. (The Hollywood Reporter)
