A shooting occurred in a Long Island workplace Wednesday morning leaving one person dead and at least one other injured. The injured victim, as reported by Newsday, was "struggling" in surgery at a nearby hospital following the shooting.

The alleged shooter, Sang Ho Kim, 63, is a former employee of the energy efficiency company, Savenergy Inc. according to Detective Michael Bitsko of the Nassau County Police Department. Police Chief of Department, Steven Skrynecki, believes that the motive appears to be work related, "a disgruntlement between him and the company," he said. Officials are unsure if there is any family ties between the gunman and the victims.

CNN reported that Kim fled the scene and is still at large in the area. Police are now scouring the location looking for the suspect, who was dressed in a red shirt and brown suit jacket when he showed up at the store. Detective Vincent Garcia said that Kim left the area in a white sport utility vehicle with a New York license plate: FMA-3648. Officials think that he may be headed west and is believed to be armed.
