Jack Johnson's album "From Here to Now to You" claims the number one spot on the Billboard 200, with 117,00 copies sold in its debut week, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

This is the singer/songwriter's fourth album to snag the number one spot, yet compared to previous albums this record sales are his lowest since his first album "Brushfire Fairytales" (2001).

In 2008, Johnson's "Sleep Through the Static" sold 375,000 and his "To the Sea" (2010) sold 243,000.

Even his Curious George soundtrack released in 2006 sold 163,000 copies.

Song-downloading sales are down three percent and album-downloading sales are down six percent.

Johnson's decreasing record sales reflect the direction of the music industry and its battle against music piracy.

Johnson remains on top of a debut-filled top 10. All of the top five titles in the Billboard 200 are new entries for the first time since the Sept. 29, 2012 chart.

Close to 20,000 copies behind Johnson is Justin Moore's album "Off the Beaten Path." It debuts at number two with 97,000 copies.
