Gunman In Austria Kills 4 During Standoff

The charred body of a suspected shooter in Austria was found late Tuesday after an intense standoff with a gunman that took four lives including three policemen and one paramedic.

The standoff began 12-hours earlier when the gunman opened fire on heavily armed police. The police initially attempted to confront the suspect for poaching in the area.

The gunman shot at officers who had created barricades and killed a paramedic that was tending to a wounded policeman.

Although officers are reporting that the remains found late Tuesday aren't immediately identifiable they know the gunman took shelter in the farm building after evading police. The officers surrounded the building with over 100 armed officers and ultimately a fire
