Zimmerman's wife Shellie called police and said Zimmerman threatened her and her father with a gun. Shellie Zimmerman filed for divorce earlier this week. 

Lake Mary Police spokesman Zach Hudson classified the custody as "investigative detetion," noting that "anytime we have anybody suspected of doing anything, we place them in investigative detention until a complete investigation has been done."

Zimmerman has had quite a few legal troubles this summer, including a Texas speeding incident complete with a gun cameo. We will continue to update the story as it develops.  

UPDATE: Here is the 911 call from Shellie Zimmerman.

Shellie Zimmerman and her father will not press charges, according to police.
