Free Museum Admission From Smithsonian Magazine

Many of the participating museums in Los Angeles are always free, but here are some of the best deals available on Saturday:
Pacific Asia Museum (general admission normally $10)
Current exhibits include “Constructed Visions: New Media from Korea” and “The Garden in Asia”. The museum also features permanent galleries of Himalayan art, art from the Pacific Islands, and Hindu and Buddhist sculptures from Southeast Asia.
Japanese American National Museum (general admission normally $9)
Museum Day coincides with the Los Angeles International Tea Festival, which will be held at the museum. The $15 admission fee for the festival is not included with a Museum Day ticket, but a free demonstration of a Japanese tea ceremony will be held at 4:00 p.m.
Petersen Automotive Museum (general admission normally $15)
It’s fitting that this museum dedicated to cars is situated at one of the busiest intersections in the city, on Wilshire and Fairfax. The collection includes celebrity cars, vintage donations, and the current exhibit “Pickups: The Art of Utility”, which features pickup trucks from 1909 to the present.
The GRAMMY Museum (general admission normally $12.95)
The GRAMMY Museum is a four-floor gallery at L.A. Live with special exhibits dedicated to Barry White, Michael Jackson, and Ringo Starr, in addition to recording technology artifacts and, of course, “Everything GRAMMY”.
