I am not exaggerating when I say I’ve seen animal print (particularly leopard print) everywhere. Whether it’s my friends shoes dotted with the trend or a clutch displayed in the latest issue of Vogue, animal prints have grabbed my attention in all sorts of ways. I’ve always had one snake skin print shirt in my closet, but that’s about the extent of animal prints I own. Now, I can’t help but want a leopard print blouse, a clutch, and a pair of leopard print booties.

Like all the trends I like to showcase, animal prints are a great way to spice up an average looking outfit. If you have that favorite pair of black leggings but you always wear them, pairing them with animal print flats or a leopard print knitted sweater will make the leggings feel new and fresh to you.

Although they are bold, animal prints can be considered neutral colors these days because just like neutrals, animal print can go with anything. A printed item can be mixed with another color (although I would advise staying away from mixing animal prints with other patterns) and can be paired with a simple piece of clothing, and voila—you look très chic and ready to hit the runway.

Whether you like multicolor prints or simple colors, animal prints slapped onto fur or woven into cotton, there are so many varieties to choose from so that you can still stay true to your own personal style. And yes, this kind of pattern can be tacky, but designers this fall have done everything in their power to make it look quite the opposite.

Because there are so many options out there, you can wear an animal print item just about anywhere. An entirely black outfit with one boldly printed item (a clutch or a belt, for example) is perfect for a girls' night out. An airy blouse with white pants and sandals is an ideal outfit to wear on a hot fall day. I think this trend is even okay to wear to the office: a beige pant suit with a brown cheetah print blouse underneath it would liven up your dull work day.

And don’t worry: you don’t have to spend hundreds of dollars on a fur jacket or designer booties. I’ve found some beautiful pieces for you to check out below:
