In case you missed it, here were some quotes that summed up the highlights from the Red Carpet:

1. Versace, Versace, Versace. Heidi Klum’s Stunning Look was brought to us by Versace. The "Project Runway" star said, "It's not the most loosey-goosey dress that I've ever worn."

2. Wait, was "Breaking Bad" nominated? As if you don’t already see plenty of "Breaking Bad" coverage when logging on to Twitter, there was oodles more on the Red Carpet. "We've been trained within an inch of our lives to not to reveal anything. And the audience will appreciate it because the last two episodes are so mind-blowing," Emmy-nominee Anna Gunn said. "I think people will be frozen in their chairs staring at the TV after. It's apocalyptical."

3. Netflix, Netflix, Netflix. "House of Cards" and "Arrested Development" are two outstanding shows that were (rightfully) each nominated for plenty of Emmys. There was plenty of buzz around the ground-breaking medium this afternoon.

4. Friends don’t let friends... Zooey Deschanel not only made a stunning appearance in a pale shade of blue, but when asked about dating friends in real life as her character Jess does in “New Girl,” Deschanel said: “Why not? Life’s short.”

5. Lena is her own woman. Earlier this week, Lena Dunham tweeted, “Time we talk Emmy’s fashion...should I do a backwards tux a la Celine Dion or a fringed t-shirt dress from family vacay to Puerto Vallarta"? Fans were simply enraged, though she decided on a green, rose-printed maxi.

6. BFF’s Dunham and Danes. When the stars saw each other, they squealed (to Ryan Seacrest’s surprise). As it turns out, the two have been best friends for quite some time, since they are both from New York City. Danes said about Dunham, “she’s my favorite everything.”

7. Winning isn’t everything. Even if drama "Mad Men" doesn’t sweep,  star January Jones said, "We know how to celebrate pretty well, even if we don't win."
