Sofia Vergara, dressed in the trend color of the evening (red) and Jimmy Kimmel presented the award to thirdrd time winner, "The Big Bang Theory"’s Jim Parsons. Some of us know him better as Sheldon, the lovable but quirky physicist who coined the term “Bazinga”, the inventor of the toughest roomate and relationship agreement.

Though this is his fifth consecutive Emmy nomination, he still seemed genuinely humbled and a little stifled. Who can forget his co-star Kaley Cuoco’s heartfelt emotional outburst when she opened the envelope to announce Jim Parson as the Golden Globe winner two years ago.

He thanked his writers and executive producers, as well as fellow cast members and especially director Mark Cendrowski who makes the cast’s everyday routine enjoyable. He reminds himself that is is “silly to be emotional” and to quickly “wrap it up”.

Other nominees include Jason Bateman in "Arrested Development," Matt LeBlanc in "Episodes," Don Cheadle in "House of Lies," Louis C.K. in "Louie," and Alec Baldwin in "30 Rock."
