Cardigans That Transition Your Summer Look To Fall

With California’s unpredictable weather, fall usually feels like a mild summer. This gives the perfect opportunity to wear summer trends during the fall. Summer calls for spaghetti strap dresses, shorts, tank-tops and T-shirts, when it may be too warm to add a cardigan during the day. For fall trends, adding a mid-sleeve or long sleeved cardigan adds the perfect flair for the season, or even a bulky knit cardigan worn and cool summer nights.
Bring the summer clothes back out. Mix and match. Wearing a skirt with sheer leggings, boots and a T-shirt with a long sleeved cardigan is an easy match up for a day out or for school. Wearing that summer dress with a mid-sleeve cardigan, topped with either a scarf or belt that speaks for the weather without smothering you in tight winter-y clothing. Men have it easier with pairing cardigans with just about anything. Wearing blue jeans with a T-shirt with any neck length works with any colored cardigan.

Department stores like Macy’s and JC Penny’s sell seasonal cardigans with different patterns, lengths—different sleeve and torso lengths and different fits. Some cardigans are loose while others hug the body for a perfect fit. Pairing a tight cardigan with shorts is a good duo for not-so-hot fall temperatures. For a younger crowd, Forever 21 and H&M have cardigans that appeal to young shoppers similar to other department stores, randing from patterns and colors.
