The best movies always have good actors, good drama and great outfits! There are the obvious picks- movies with fabulous designer names in the title: "The Devil Wears Prada", "Coco Chanel"- but, then, there are plenty of great movies whose stunning outfits go unnoticed. In the wake of yet another glamour-filled red carpet this past Sunday, lets take a look back at some of the beautiful runway-worthy pieces that have graced movies in the past decade.

1Keira Knightley is a vision in green in "Atonement" (2007). In a pivotal scene in the movie, Knightley debuted this stunning green dress.

The piece is a flowing, backless dress, with thin spaghetti straps. The gown is simple, but a definite show-stopper.

2. Sarah Jessica Parker wore Vera Wang circa "Sex and the City" (2008). In this TV-series-turned-movie, the beloved Carrie Bradshaw (played by Parker) is a New York fashionista with plans to walk down the aisle, (with a little help from Vera Wang, of course).

Carrie buys a breathtaking wedding gown that flaunts a sharp v-neck and huge ruffles. Although (spoiler alert!) Carrie didn't actually make it down the aisle in this particular outfit, it will forever be engrained in our minds as the perfect wedding dress.

3. Marion Cotillard's sweetheart gown in "Inception" (2010). Cotillard played "Mal", Leonardo DiCaprio's character's ex wife who haunted his dreams.

Cotillard's edgy wardrobe matched her character's personality. In her introductory scene, Cotillard wears a long sleeved, off the shoulder, deep blue dress with a sweetheart neckline. This form-fitting dress has a beautifully intricate, awe-inspiring pattern.

4. Charlize Theron's
faux wedding gown in "Snow White and the Huntsman" (2012). In this modern-day adaption to a classic fairy tale, Theron redefined the role of the evil Queen with her attitude, emotions and outfits.

Albeit, all of her ensembles were noteworthy, one particular dress stood out; this long, white and gold gown with an embroidered bodice and extravagant, ruffled sleeves. The beautiful dress resembled 15th-century wedding attire truly fit for a queen.

5. Anne Hathaway's little black dress in "The Dark Knight Rises" (2012). Hathaway took on the sultry role of Catwoman in the final movie in the Batman trilogy.
As if Catwoman's skin tight uniform wasn't amazing enough, Hathaway rocked this gorgeous black gown in her opening scene. The dress is a long, form-fitted, satin piece that fell beautifully, and complemented Catwoman's character perfectly.

6. Carey Mulligan's
cocktail dress in "The Great Gatsby" (2013). Mulligan took on the capricious role of "Daisy" in the film adaptation of this popular book. Luckily for Mulligan, Daisy has a great closet. The latter is best showcased when Daisy wears her gold cocktail dress.
This is a shimmery, knee length piece, with a satin bow at the waist line. In the dress' debut scene, Mulligan completes the look with a light fur collar and a sparkly headband that makes her look flawless.
