Lionsgate's "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" is projected to make $950 million, according to a Wall Street analysis. Alan Gould of Evercore predicted a $375 million domestic box office result and another $575 million internationally. Here's why we think he's right:
"The Hunger Games" made nearly $700 million in domestic and worldwide box office combined according to Box Office Mojo. That was when "Hunger Games" was a big thing for fans of the book series and that everyone was still curious as to what "The Hunger Games" was. Now they know. Not only will the Suzanne Collins fandom be anticipating the movie, but also the "Hunger Games" movie fandom.
Lionsgate has launched a unique marketing campaign for "Catching Fire" just for the fans - Capitol Couture. The campaign is based on a seemingly professional fashion website that features actual pieces from designers of the movie. Capitol fashion ads have also started appearing in public. If you are one of the hardcore "Hunger Games" fans, you will recognize these ads and start questioning yourself whether the Capitol only exists inside the "Hunger Games" universe.
Since the first "Hunger Games" movie, Jennifer Lawrence has become one of the youngest actresses to win an Academy Award, for her role in "Silver Linings Playbook." Her acting has received great recognition and she now has her own J.Law fan base outside of the trilogy. These fans will go into theaters just to see her.
Sam Claflin will be playing Finnick Odair in "Catching Fire." Audiences may have seen him in "Snow White and the Huntsman" and "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" before.

Catching Fire will have a worldwide premier in London, and the event will create hype in the media and among the fans. Also: British band Coldplay released the first official track from the movie, "Atlas."
