With the 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards approaching, lets look at some of the top memorable moments in Emmy history:

15-minute Laughs

Conan O’Brien provided viewers and audience members of the 58th Emmy Awards with 15 minutes of straight hilarity including a “South Park” trapped-in-the-closet parody, a “Lost” parody, a conversation with Jack Bauer of “24," and much more.

The Kiss

During the 2003 Emmys, Brad Garrett of “Everybody Loves Raymond” locked lips with Gary Shandling. The infamous kiss was a parody of the Brittney and Madonna kiss earlier that month at the VMA’s.

The Show Goes On

After postponing the 53rd Emmy Awards twice following the September 11th terrorist attack, Ellen DeGeneres came out swinging with jokes like “What would upset the Taliban more than a gay woman wearing a suit in front of a room full of Jews?” DeGeneres also wore a swan dress to mock singer Bjork’s famous Oscar attire.

The Donald Sings

Donald Trump, in overalls and a straw hat, sang the theme song to “Green Acres” with Megan Mullally during the 2005 Emmys.

For the Fat Girls

During her acceptance speech for outstanding supporting actress in a drama series in 1998, Camryn Manheim of “The Practice” raised her Emmy high and said “This is for all the fat girls.”

Jon Stewart’s Puppy Finger

The funny continued at the 2005 Emmy Awards with a pre-taped sketch from “Daily Show” host Jon Stewart. The video talked about the government’s response to Hurricane Katrina as well as network censorship.  The hilarious sketch included a puppy covering Stewart’s middle finger to the government.

Hurry Up or Else

Besides making viewers and audience members laugh during the 2006 Emmys, Conan O’Brien made sure the show didn’t go overtime by locking actor Bob Newhart in a glass booth with only three hours of breathable air. After three hours Newhart would suffocate. Luckily speeches were kept short and the show ended three minutes early.

No Writers + 5 Hosts = Bad Show

Amidst the 2008 writers strike, host Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, Ryan Seacrest, Jeff Probst, and Tom Bergeron had no material and were left to ad-lib. The ad-libs were cringe-worthy and awkward. The show had the worst ratings in Emmy history.

Klum Falls

Besides the horrible ad-libs of the 2008 Emmys, Heidi Klum fell on stage during a skit with co-host Tom Bergeron.

The Aisle Cart Wheel

After already winning two awards during the 63rd annual Emmy’s, Alan Alda busted a cartwheel in the aisle on his way to the podium to accept his third award for outstanding writing in a comedy.

The Big One

After finally winning an Emmy during the 43rd Annual show, Kristie Alley thanked her husband at the time for “giving me the big one for the last eight years.”

Momma Didn’t See it Coming

During her acceptance speech at the 59th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, Katherine Heigl of “Grey’s Anatomy” said her mother told her “She didn’t have a chance,” at winning the award for outstanding supporting actress in a drama series.
