Every other week, Staff Reporter Jillian Morabito showcases some of the tunes you should be tuning in to. Here are her picks for your new Must Listen Playlist:

“Wildest Moments” by Jessie Ware

First heard on "New Girl," “Wildest Moments” is a song that revolves around the unpredictability of life. It talks about how in points of our life that stand out, we can be the “greatest” or the “worst of all.” When you think about it, it makes sense -- Moments you remember in your life are only memorable because they were either absolutely fantastic or extremely terrible. How absolutely wise. Ware played at the Observatory Saturday night.

“From This Valley” by The Civil Wars

With their second album released last week, one song that standouts is “From This Valley.” The lyrics utilize religious imagery, alluding to difficult love. This particular track definitely has a Mumford-folk vibe, however there is a stronger country influence. So if music that could be played in a deserted house in Kansas isn’t your thing, I would steer clear of this new album.

“In/Out” by Dan Croll

“In/Out” is a simply an addicting track. As far as the actual music, Dan Droll is reminiscent of MGMT, Vampire Weekend, and numerous fellow eclectic bands. The best part of the song is the music video, which almost resembles a bad Napolean Dynamite spoof with David Hasselhoff backgrounds. However, the song is so cute and catchy that Dan Croll pulls it off.

“The Truth” by Dr. Dog

Not all songs have to be about break-ups and partying it up at the club. One such example being Dr. Dog’s “The Truth,” which is socially and morally relevant. Also if you take a look at the music video, the image of a continuous train never pauses; this train metaphor asserts “the truth don’t stop.” Perhaps, try listening to this number while winding down after a long day at work or an Amanda Bynes session on the elliptical.

“Wild Heart” by Stevie Nicks

Strong, wise, stunning -- there aren’t enough words to describe the legendary goddess Stevie Nicks. When it was time to take a break from the hectic Fleetwood Mac, Nicks released several solo albums, many of which are near perfection. “Wild Heart” isperhaps the most underrated song and album. Notice the refrain of “Don’t blame it on me, blame it on my wild heart.” Why this is not a common phrase, I do not know. It pretty much sums up the attraction to bad boys that wear far too much leather. Even Florence Welch knows the breathtaking video of a young Nicks.
