H&M has finally granted the wishes of its fashion-savvy clientele. As of this August, the H&M fans all over the United States can shop to their hearts' content with the newly-opened online store.

With 268 stores in the U.S., it is surprising that an online store was not available for American trendsetters. But was opening an online store to U.S. residents the right move for H&M?

After months of high anticipation through a constant waiting game, H&M finally pulled through. Along with the convenience of buying clothes online, H&M also offers a variety of new benefits to shopping online, including additional sizes--up to a size 24--on its e-commerce store. As everything available in actual stores will be available online, the online store will also sell online-exclusives for Internet shoppers.

H&M also debuted its 'H&M Home' collection with the e-commerce launch; the collection includes home decor and accessories available only through e-commerce. Having a home collection broadens its customers to a much wider range of people.

With the variety of options H&M's e-commerce store holds and the company's popularity in the U.S., it is safe to say launching an online store was a smart move on H&M's part. Not only do they reach out to more customers with its additional sizes and online exclusives, but the company also creates a convenient and fast-paced option for shoppers to purchase their things.

Until now, online purchases from H&M were only available in eight European countries. Fans of H&M have been excitedly waiting for an online store to launch, and now they finally can. Shoppers no longer have to search or wait to go into a brick-and-mortar store to add to their wardrobe (and now home).

H&M is now available at any shopper's fingertips, and complaints have yet to follow.
