George Zimmerman Not Guilty In Death Of Trayvon Martin

George Zimmerman, the former neighborhood watch captain in was found not guilty on Saturday night of killing unarmed Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Flordia. 

Zimmerman, a man whose mother is Afro-Peruvian, was orginally charged with second degree muder in the death of the 17-year-old African American teenager. The jury, however, was told that they could consider manslaughter, a charge that brings a shorter punnishment. Nevertheless, the jury found Zimmerman not guilty of either charge.

The six person, all-female, jury deliberated for 16.5 hours before reaching the verdict, CNN reported
