Twinkies fans have reason to celebrate, as the original, vanilla cream-filled, golden sponge cake is making a grand return to store shelves on July 15. Other beloved Hostess snacks like Donettes and Ding Dongs will be available on this date as well.

As early as July 12, Twinkies have already been spotted at certain Wal Mart stores in Florida, according to The L.A. Times. Diehard Twinkies fans can even count down to the snack’s official return to store shelves on the Hostess website.

Last November marked a sad day for Hostess fans worldwide when the company announced it was going bankrupt due to workers’ strikes. Since then, however, several companies like Metropoulos & Co. and Apollo Global Management bought Twinkies and other Hostess snacks. The companies announced in June that the snacks would return to store shelves nationwide in mid-July.

Twinkie lovers can now breathe a sigh of relief, as it seems like the popular treat won’t be disappearing anytime soon, according to Metropoulos & Co. and Apollo Global Management. In fact, the firms have plans to redesign or expand some of the product lines. For example, while Twinkies will remain the same in terms of its look and taste, CupCakes will now be made with dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate.
