Seven were killed Monday night in Egypt due to riots between security and supporters of ousted President Mohamed Morsi.

The riot started when protestors blocked the 6 October Bridge. The crowds gathered when senior U.S. envoy William Burns met with Egypt's interim president Adly Mansour, Prime Minister Hazem al-Beblaw and Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

Burns said Egypt had a "second chance on democracy," reports The Daily Beast.

State media told the BBC that 261 were injured when police reportedly used tear gas and threw rocks at protestors.
