Nine people were killed in overnight clashes in Cairo. Of the nine, at least six died at the city's main university, Cairo University, according to The Daily Beast.

The six killed at the university were near the location of a sit-in by ousted president Mohamed Morsi's supporters. More then 60 have been killed since he was ousted.

Since Morsi's abduction he has been held at an undisclosed location. His family is accusing the military of abducting him, reports the BBC.

The Muslim Brotherhood has refused to recognize the military-backed administration and had held numerous street protests.
