Serena Williams Wins French Open

Serena Willams won her first French Open since 2002 on Saturday morning. The record breaking tennis player whose had 16 Grand Slams beat Maria Sharapova on a 6-4 victory.

Williams has won a career high of 31 consecutive matches and Saturday's 
win helped to rebound her from a loss to Virginie Garros a year ago. 

During her acceptance speech, Willams expressed her excitement saying, “I think it’s unbelievable. Now I have 16 Grand Slam titles. It’s difficult for me to speak because I’m so excited.”
