On Friday morning, an armed man shot four people outside a law firm and a Walmart store in Greenville, North Carolina. The city’s Police Chief, Hassan Aden, reported that the police shot the gunman soon after.

The incident occurred around 11:40am, when a man with a shotgun approached the four victims both in the parking lot and on the street. Gunfire was exchanged with the police. Chief Aden said the quick response by police "ended this quickly before he was able to shoot anybody else." The suspect’s weapon has been described as a "pistol-grip shotgun" with an unknown number of rounds. According to Chief Alden, he also had a bag filled with ammunition.

The four victims have been transported to a hospital without further reports on their conditions. The condition of the suspected shooter is also unknown.
