Although the end of summer is far off in the distance there are still plenty of reasons to start getting exciting for fall. As new TV shows start to air in the next couple of weeks and favorite series begin their summer seasons, networks have also released their upcoming fall lineups. Many of these new show’s trailers promise exciting seasons filled with laughs, adventures, mysteries, several spin-offs, and of course, magic. Here’s your first look at some of the must-see new shows for fall.

"Super Fun Night" (ABC)

Coming Wednesdays at 9:30/8:30c, you will be able to check out Rebel Wilson ("Pitch Perfect", "Bridesmaids") in her own TV series! The show focuses on Wilson’s character, Kimmie Boubier, and her two best friends living in New York City. While the gang has had a “girls night in” every Friday for the last 13 years, they are about to hit the town and find out what exactly they have been missing out on. From executive producer Conan O’Brien this ABC comedy promises all sorts of laugh-out-loud tomfoolery, especially since Wilson is also the show’s writer and co-executive producer.

"The Originals" (The CW)

For fans of The CW’s hit "The Vampire Diaries" this spin-off series will begin Tuesdays at 8:00/7:00c this fall. The show tells the story of the Mikaelson siblings, the three of the world’s original vampires and their fight to keep power and order in the French Quarter of New Orleans. The series promises plenty of witches, werewolves, and even some hybrids, in this nail-biting supernatural drama.

"The Michael J. Fox Show" (NBC)

Michael J. Fox is back at it again! After retiring from full-time acting in 1991 when he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, Fox is returning to regular on-screen work in his own show that will air Thursday’s at 9:30/8:30c. Fox plays Mike Henry, a New York news anchor, who took time off from his booming career to spend time with his family after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s. Fox is showing the lighter side of this serious incurable disease through his new comedy series that will demonstrate real-life obstacles that Parkinson’s patients deal with.
 

"Once Upon a Time in Wonderland" (ABC)

Another spin-off series starting this fall comes from "Once Upon a Time" (ABC). This magical adventure will air Thursdays at 8:00/7:00c and promises to transport viewers down the rabbit hole once again. The series takes the popular childhood tale of Alice in Wonderland and adds real-life elements mixed in with the well-known mystical magic of Lewis Carroll. The show is set in Victorian England after Alice has returned from her adventures in Wonderland. Alice now faces the consequences of believing in this other world in a time where the only explanation for her adventure is insanity.

"DADS" (FOX)

From Seth Macfarlane and the minds behind of "Ted," and Fox’s hit series "Family Guy", "Dads" will premiere Tuesdays this fall at 8:00/7:00c. The show stars Giovanni Ribsi ("Ted", "Friends") and Seth Green ("Family Guy", "Austin Powers") as two best friends whose lives are about to be turned up side down with the arrival of their newest roommates - their dads.

"Reign" (The CW)

Power, love, and royalty all come into play in this new period drama series that airs Thursdays at 9:00/8:00c. The show follows the early years of Mary, Queen of Scots, in 1550s France. Starring Adelaide Kane (“Teen Wolf”) as Mary, this young monarch must learn to balance love with responsibility. After all what would a series like this be without a royal love triangle?

"The Crazy Ones" (CBS)

In his first television series role since "Mork & Mindy," Oscar-winner Robin Williams returns to comedy TV on Thursdays at 9:00/8:00c. This workplace comedy tells the story of a powerful advertising agency run by Williams, who can’t help but bring his strange signature humor to the office. Sarah Michelle Gellar’s character Sydney, who works for Williams, also happens to be his daughter. This duo will definitely bring a hysterical twist to the mixture of family and business.

"The Blacklist" (NBC)

This new action-drama starring James Spader premieres Mondays at 10:00/9:00c. The show is packed of suspense and mystery as it follows Raymond “Red” Reddington, one of the most wanted fugitives in the world, who surrenders himself to the FBI claiming to have a list of criminals and terrorists that are threats to the United States. Red’s “Blacklist” will test his credibility and also raise many questions as to what Red’s motives are in turning in both himself and other national security threats.

"Lucky 7" (ABC)

From executive producer Steven Spielberg, the story of seven gas station employees who’s lives are about to change forever will begin Tuesdays at 10:00/9:00c this fall. For this group of seven down on their luck individuals, the multiple character plot lines all connect when the group’s lottery pool miraculously wins the New York lottery of 45 million dollars.
